
Community Medicine deals with promotion of health and prevention of diseases, utilizing professional management skills and inculcates a holistic view of health and medical interventions primarily focused on Community Health/Population Health.

To promote a state of complete physical, mental, social and economic well-being of the people living in the community and to live a healthy and happy life.
Mission
- To develop and maintain exemplary community medicine educational programs for students to make them a good clinician, and provide a comprehensive healthcare.
- To conduct medical camps (screening/specialist/cancer prevention), health awareness and health promotional campaigns, immunization activities, family planning services and supporting national programs.
- To promote basic research and dissemination of knowledge important to community health.
- To be an Instrument in the development and implementation of public health policy and national health programmes.
- To work in partnership with individuals, community organizations, and government and thus address unmet health care needs.
