LIFE AT CDSIMER
CDSIMER, under the flagship of DSU, benefits from a rich cultural heritage of fortifying the lives of innumerous students during the years of graduate life spent in the University campus. The Institution provides an invigorating atmosphere to all its stakeholders, with an innate inspiration to enjoy the experience of learning.
The University inculcates to adopt learning as a lifelong process and imbibes within its students a passion for forging human networks, connecting to society and endeavoring to make the world a better place both for themselves and for others. DSU students aspire to achieve excellence in every pursuit for making the world a better place each moment every day.
Academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are encouraged and organized with equal importance. Diverse cultural activities & themes along with providing opportunities in fine arts and sports are blended into the academic calendar to holistically develop students to explore and realize their innate potential as a human being.
The campus houses not only the Medical School, but also the Engineering and Business Schools that provides an opportunity for students to network for integrating their learning experiences and explore wider scopes for conducting research across inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary areas.
Exclusive hostels have been provided for students and residents with spacious, comfortable, well-furnished rooms with modern amenities with access to multi-cuisine food at the food court.
Accommodation
Students
Students and residents have exclusive hostels that are separately maintained for men and women which have spacious, comfortable, well-furnished rooms equipped with modern amenities, hygienic kitchens and nutritious food with multi-cuisine dishes served in spacious dining halls and fitted with potable RO water source for catering to the requirements of drinking water. To add to the experience of Campus life, students are provided with facilities to pursue sports, cultural and extracurricular activities in a safe and secure environment.
Staff
Staff Quarters are situated inside the campus premises that are exclusive for CDSIMER staff members and their families. The quarters are well equipped with all amenities required for the current standards of living. Staff Quarters are built with the best infrastructure that offers a pleasant and peaceful life.
The quarters have a total of 4 blocks with120 apartments each, which shall include single, double and triple bedroom apartments. Villas are also being constructed on the campus.
Sports
Students will be encouraged to participate in various indoor & outdoor sports activities throughout the year. Facilities such as Cricket Ground, Basketball court, Volleyball Court, Badminton court, Table Tennis, Gymnasium, Yoga, Chess, Carom etc. are available for the students on campus. Annual indoor and outdoor activities / competitions within the University will also be organized to provide a strong platform to our students to showcase their sporting abilities. Students will be encouraged to participate in state or national level events. There is a plan to inculcate a sense of patriotism and a disciplined lifestyle through National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Students and residents have exclusive hostels for men and women with spacious, comfortable, well-furnished rooms with all modern amenities, hygienic kitchens, and nutritious food with multi-cuisine dishes served in spacious dining halls with potable RO water for drinking.
Round the clock security guards (Male & Female for respective hostels) as well as CCTV cameras are placed for continuous monitoring and vigilance for the safety of students & residents.

Cultural and Literary activities
At CDSIMER, performing arts is given a great prominence. Students are encouraged to involve and pursue their interests in arts, cultural and literary activities. All facilities that can help & facilitate students to pursue their extra-curricular interests are provided on the campus and the team of CDSIMER encourages and motivates students to showcase their talent at various events.
