Dr. S Rajagopalan, Medical Director , CDSIMER is a well-qualified general and laparoscopic surgeon. He completed his undergraduation and postgraduation from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and a Fellow of the Association of Indian Surgeons. He has served the Indian Army with distinction in various capacities in the academic and administrative fields and retired after 34 years of meritorious service in the rank of Brigadier. He has been the Head of Surgery at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. After retirement, he served as Head of Surgery at Rajarajeswari Medical College, Bangalore for five years prior to this assignment. He has academic presentations in various conferences and workshops and several publications in National and International journals and has been on the editorial Boards of Indian Journals. He is a trained medical teacher and examiner for several universities.

It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of the team at CDSIMER and help in setting up this Hospital and Medical College. I envisage this Institution to have a rapid growth and develop into a Center of excellence as envisioned by the Management. The Medical College boasts of a comfortable, vibrant and pollution free campus and shall incorporate all that is latest in technology so far as teaching facilities are concerned. The teaching hospital shall have all state of the art equipment to manage patients led by a team of talented and qualified professionals. I am sanguine that this Institution will thus be a crucible for medical aspirants who dream big and aim to reach the acme of success in their chosen field. The parents need to look no further beyond CDSIMER, to safely admit their wards to pursue a successful career in medical sciences.
